Tyson is finishing up his last semester of college and boy let me tell ya its a rough one for both of us! Not only to mention that he is doing his internship on top of his hard level accounting classes. I sit at home every night while he is doing homework in the other room and pray that these next 4 weeks go by so fast! I am counting down the days to graduation! I have become extremely proud of Tyson. He is such a hard worker and does so much for me! But I would like to have my nights back with my husband again someday! :)
As for me, I'm not doing much except for working full time at good 'ol Great Harvest. It has become the extremely busy months there now that Thanksgiving is sneaking up on us and Christmas. I have had terribly long hours, but hey I'm not complaining. I have a job and I'm getting paid!!! I think I might try going back to BYUI-I next semester and just take a few online classes so I don't have to drive on the nasty roads that we get out here in Mud Town. But that is still undecided. I'm having a terrible time deciding what I should do with school. But hopefully that problem will be solved soon!
So my sister is little miss deal shopper. She text me the other day and told me that K-Mart had a sale on Christmas trees. A while back I had told Tyson that I thought that it would be really fun to go cut down a real tree for Christmas this year and we might save a little bit of mula. But one night we were talking to Van and Joni and they had mentioned how much it cost them for real trees last year and I said NO WAY!!! So when Kim text me I was so excited because I have started to become a very cheap person (in some areas of life). So I went to K-Mart and got us a beautiful $160 tree for $80. I was so excited about my deal, not to mention that it is pre-lit. In fact this is such a good deal that my brother and his wife went and got one the same day I did. So today I was just to dang excited to set it up, I couldn't look at it sitting in our living room in its box still. So I set it up today! I know I know, I swore I never would be that person that set their Christmas tree and decorations up before Thanksgiving. But I did it.
Speaking of Christmas, I get all giddy inside whenever I think about it. And I've been trying to figure out why ever since October! I'm not getting anything exciting for Christmas, and I'm not going anywhere exciting either. But I think I finally figured it out today. A girl from from work and I were talking about it and we think that one of the reasons that we are both so excited for Christmas this year is because it's the very first Christmas we get to spend with our husbands. It's like our own little family Christmas. We were engaged at Christmas last year but for some reason that is different. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas mostly for this reason though, we get to spend time with our families. I am such a family person, I love every second I get to spend with Tyson's family and mine. I am so so lucky to have the family that I do, especially the in-laws! I am so grateful for my family. I hope that this upcoming holiday season we can all sit down and remember why we have such great families. We all have our little quirks and a few problems here and there but I'd say if you didn't you aren't normal ;)
HAPPY HOLIDAY!!
Love, The Burtenshaw
