Life Update As Of 9/22/12

So I feel like I have completely fallen off the face of this earth.

Oh wait I have! I live in Vernal! :)

So this blog post will be a long one just to warn all of you now! As you can see I'm terrible at updating everyone! :)

So Tys and I have been down here in Vernal for a little over a month now!

And I don't love it, but I don't hate it either! Is that possible?

It has been a great experience so far and things are just getting better.
SOO ask me in a few weeks how I like it and I might have a different answer! :)

But we are doing so great down here. Vernal has reminded me a lot of home. Well at least Rexburg. It isn't very hard to find our way around here. It has a main street that has pretty much your essentials on it and that's all ya need! It has a Walmart (which is very under-stocked), a Cafe Rio (heaven!), a Maurices (weakness!). So what more could I possibly need!

Oh don't forget I have this sweet man to live with! :)

This post is hard to do an update on because really there isn't anything new going on with us (kind of). I started another semester at BYU-I and I'm just taking 1 online class. I'm sure your saying "that's it?" Well yes my cute friends it is! I started out with 2 but decided while we are away and since we are so dang busy running a store all by ourselves one online class was enough to keep me occupied every night!

I dread starting classes every semester. I have no idea why! But I have noticed that I have not freaked out quite as bad as I usually do when a new semester begins. I had a little meltdown one night, but was immediately calmed by a priesthood blessing. Oh what a wonderful blessing it is to have a husband that puts up with my emotionalness! ;)

So, Tyson and I have been working our buns off since we've been down here. Especially Tys. Starting up this store has been a bigger project I think than we expected. There are so many ins and outs that we are both learning together. We have both had to learn to become EXTREMELY organized. There have been times when we have just wanted to give up and come home, and there have been times where we have been so excited for the store to be successful. It has definitely been a learning process for us both. Not only to learn the ins and outs of the store, but it has been a huge change to work together as well! Tyson's dad asked us what we did if we needed space because we worked together and live in a apartment together and I told him that we just went into separate rooms and watched our own t.v. shows! ;)

We had our grand opening of Black Ink Truck Parts yesterday and we all lost a little sleep over it! Party planning is so difficult. You never know how many to plan for! And that my friends is what we lost sleep over. We didn't know if we would have 20 people or 400! You never know what kind of people will show up for these kinds of things either. I mean come on people I would show up for FREE FOOD even if it was a Truck Parts store! But it turned out to be great. We ended up with a lot of left over food. But having a lot is better than not having enough! :)

Well I have been pretty darn homesick, but working and being in school has helped calm that down a little! Lets face it I am a Idaho girl at heart and I miss my families like crazy! Tyson's parents came down and visited and it was a piece of heaven! It was home! :) Tyson and I always think we should head home (just about every weekend!).

I got to skype with this sweet thing for her birthday the other night.

And lets just say I was tearin up a little when I had to tell the family goodbye over skype! Ridiculous I know! Tyson has made our little adventure a lot easier. We have grown a lot closer since we have moved and have learned more and more about each other. I love that boy more than he will ever know. And this is just a sweet adventure in life that we get to experience together! I am so grateful for a Heavenly Father that knows EXACTLY what we need WHEN we need it! I am so grateful that He knows us each individually and for the LOVE that He shows me on a daily basis.

I am so grateful for the gospel in our lives and for our families. They are such a blessing.
Speaking of family we were able to go home the first of the month to see this sweet thing...

get baptized.

I cannot believe she is 8! Someone needs to stop these kids from growing up! It was such a good experience. I was thinking about when I got baptized and Tyson (my brother) baptized me! It was fun to reflect back on those memories! And I am so proud of Halli for the example she is to everyone around her!

Then...Last weekend we were able to experience the marriage of these two.

The ceremony was awesome! And to top it off aren't they adorable!? :) It was so fun to experience their special day with them. And memories came flooding back of when Tys and I got married. :) These two are perfect for each other and I am so glad we are able to call them friends. I think we will be lifelong friends :) Congrats Devyn and Jamon! :)

So here is to still living in Vernal! We are happier than ever, and stressed more than ever, but LIFE IS GOOD!

And as my sweet Grandpa would say... happy trails!

Until next time...

Happy Blogging! :)

Love,

Kate and Tyson

New Adventure

So... We have some news....

We are......

MOVING!!

Yep you heard me right, moving out of the Mud Town.

Tyson and I have the opportunity to move down to Vernal Utah to start a parts store for the company he is working for now Black Ink!

Can you believe it?

Nope I still can't either.

Tyson will be moving down the week after the fourth and I will go down 2 weeks later.

I am kind of nervous because I have never seen Vernal before...

But I am SOOO excited for a new adventure in our lives.

It will hopefully only be for a year or so...

So don't worry Idaho will [ALWAYS] be our home!

I am so grateful for a husband that works so hard and provides for our family!

So wish us luck in the next few weeks as we start packing and making many trips down to Utah.

Please don't forget about us!

Happy Blogging! :)

Hay Season......Blehhhhh!

So normally I'm not opposed to hay season.

But this season is oh so different!

Tyson hasn't officially come back to the farm to work and is still working
his toosh off at Black Ink.

But they did agree to let him come back to the farm for a week and help his dad
put his crops up.

I have always been so excited to get in the tractor and have late nights with my man.

But this crop has been different. And I'm not so sure how to describe it!

Tyson hasn't only just been working on the farm,

he has been going into Black Ink after he has had a long night in the tractor.

Let me expand...

Tyson's days/nights start at 12 a.m. or 10 p.m. it just depends on how dry the hay is or how much moisture the hay has to start baling!

The very first night he spent a lot of his time at the shop fixing the baler.

Who would want to be fixing a baler at 3 a.m.?

Not I!

But tis the life of a farmer!

He then would stop about 6 a.m. or later depending on how wet the hay was in the morning.
[ you can't bale wet hay! :) ]

He then would take a little snooze, I mean very little and head into Idaho Falls to start his chaotic day of being an accountant!

Are you thinking man this guy is talented?

[Yeah me too! :)]

Just about every night I have asked Tys to wake me up so I can come ride with him.

These have been my responses [not wake up at all, shut the alarm off and go back to sleep.]

I have felt so bad about not getting up and going and keeping my man company.

But seriously a girls gotta get her beauty sleep! ;)

So last night I finally went and sat with him in the tractor.

Oh it brought back good memories of last year.

Last year I spent my birthday in the tractor with Tyson and it's a birthday I will [always] remember!

We were able to start a little earlier last night which I was [totally] grateful for!

But holy moly has it made my sweet man tired.

As I sit here writing this he is still at Black Ink working at [7:30 p.m.]

We will probably go back out tonight at bale at 10 and stop early in the morning!

So say your prayers that we all keep sane and don't kill each other with our lack of sleep in our home!

[so the next series of pictures are kind of random!]

[we were in the swather]

[notice the swarm of different species
of spiders.. yuck!]

[my dad will probably kill me for
putting this up but we laugh and laugh
every time we look at this picture. we
love you daddy!]

[he didn't wanna move the towels]

[getting ready to go swath!]

Cowboy

Tyson went roping for the first time in years the other night.

It was so much fun to watch him.

It was the first time I had ever seen him on a horse and actually roped a real cow/steer!

He was like a little kid and was so excited to get out there and do it again.

And of course he is a natural and did AWESOME!

Such a proud wifey! :)
